The Wave Rooms & Hostel ligt in Arugam Bay, op 3 minuten lopen van Arugam Bay Beach en heeft een tuin, een terras en uitzicht op de tuin. The property has a great location that’s central to town but in a quiet street. The room and bed were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is clean as well. Rinas was so helpful while I was in a stressful situation with my shuttle never arriving. He found another ride for me last minute and saved the day. 10/10 would recommend!

Cactus Arugambay beschikt over een tuin, en is gelegen in Arugam Bay in de regio Ampara District, op een paar minuten lopen van Arugam Bay Beach en 2,9 km van Muhudu Maha Viharaya. Centrale locatie maar uit de drukte, lekker stil. Knus en sfeervol aangekleed. De gedeelde keuken vond ik heel handig! Aardig personeel. Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

So, me and 2 of my friends were travelling for a long weekend getaway and you won't believe the hospitality and the perfection of this property. Truly something to be rewarded and justified! Me and my friends had quite a dilemma when we were booking the place for our trip. But, man oh man did it turn out well! So, our booking was from Saturday to Monday which means Saturday check in, Saturday night, Sunday night - Monday check out. Now, this weekend was a long weekend and everyone was travelling. We are locals travelling from Colombo to Arugam Bay and we didn't have transportation sorted out for us. Our vehicles were being used over the weekend and we had to use the public transport. There is no train to Arugam Bay from Colombo as far as we researched but there are buses. The buses were booked too. We somehow managed to get seats. The buses operate at night which means you board in Colombo around 7 PM and you land in Arugam Bay at around 4 - 4:30 AM. This is the daily route for the bus. So, if we want to get there Saturday - we must get there Saturday early morning at 4. We just booked that bus and we were on our way to Arugam Bay Friday night So, it all starts with the host. Since, I booked and my number is on the booking. I got a call from a random number. I didn't answer cause I was travelling and my phone was on silent. It seems like I had missed calls from the same number. I just ignored it and kept travelling. After a while of listening to music, I just got an instinct to call this number (a good gut feeling). I called and it was a nice gentleman named 'Roshan' from the hostel and he was asking me what time I will arrive. I told him around 4. He asked me if I am coming by bus or train (seems like trains operate) haha. I said bus and he said, " 'NO PROBLEM. ONCE YOU ARRIVE, JUST COME IN TO THE HOSTEL AND SLEEP ON YOUR BEDS.

The BEST hostel in arugam bay, get in early because it’s popular! The people are the nicest and kindest and most welcoming in all of Sri Lanka! The breakfast and espresso coffee is delicious and the rooms are cleaned daily and are comfy with great facilities with a good location!! Highly recommend, made our time here! A MUST BOOK! Happy Hammocks, Arugam Bay Beach - Sri Lanka bevindt zich in Arugam Bay, op 2 minuten lopen van Arugam Bay Beach, en heeft accommodatie met airconditioning en een tuin. I originally came from lost hostels in weligama and was incredibly excited to stay at lost in Arugam bay. The team here is sooooo great!! I continue to extend because I don’t want to leave anytime soon. Thank you to the entire team at lost for making this place feel so welcoming! Cannot recommend enough!!!

Shine Rise Hostel bevindt zich in Arugam Bay, op een paar minuten lopen van Arugam Bay Beach, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een privéstrand en een restaurant. De locatie is helemaal top, direct aan een rustig deel van het strand en een minuut van de hoofdstraat. Je loopt zo uit je huisje de zee in. Het huisje was mooi, schoon, had een heerlijk bed (wel kort) met goede klamboe, lekkere douche en stopcontacten voor Europese stekkers. De fan houdt het huisje voldoende koel en de “veranda” op het dak is leuk met zeezicht en een hangmat. Het personeel is vriendelijk en behulpzaam en deed erg zijn best toen mijn vriend iets romantisch voor mij wilde organiseren! Er zijn maar twee huisjes dus het is allemaal erg kleinschalig.
