Daniela and Tony are the most caring hosts, very friendly and generous people.

Best hostel ever. Very nice staff, amazing location and beautiful locations. You walk around 5 minutes from the beach, the people here are so nice, with everyone having the same interest for surfing. It is very clean, the kitchen is good for cooking and there is even a skate bowl. I can recommend this to everyone who wants to surf and be surrounded by amazing people.

La Urraca Loca Hostel heeft een tuin, een terras, een restaurant en een bar in Balgue. De accommodatie ligt op 12 km van vulkaan Maderas en heeft een barbecue. Without a doubt the best hostel I've stayed at throughout the entire Central America. The huts are tucked away in a lush tropical garden and it is a little heaven of peace and calm. This is not a party hostel and I loved the chill vibe. The only sounds you'll hear are the birds (hence the name of the hostel). I was in an 8-bed dorm which was a bit tight but each bed has its own fan the the bed was comfortable - I slept like a baby. The facilities are super clean, one of rare places that sorts out trash for recycling, there is a lovely terrace and upper chillout area where you can see the Concepcion volcano. They offer breakfast at a good price and the typical Nica breakfast was delicious. There's a different evening meal on offer every day but I didn't try any. The staff were really kind and helped me organise a few things such as kayaking, transport, bike, etc. If I ever go back to Ometepe, I will definitely book this place again. Excellent!

Marumar is gelegen in Popoyo, op een paar minuten lopen van Popoyo Beach, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin en gratis privéparkeren. Great accommodation, all the amenities were clean and comfortable. Located close to the tide pools, which was a highlight of our stay!

Simple, clean beach living. I stayed here for a month with zero complaints. Nico made it feel like home. Easy access to the brilliant pizza restaurant three times a week was a bonus! Highly recommend!

Hostal Villas Mexico ligt in San Juan del Sur, op 3 minuten lopen van Playa Marsella, en biedt accommodatie met een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een tuin en een gedeelde... We booked with Hostal Villas Mexico because it was budget friendly and close to Maderas. At first we felt a little out of place because no one spoke a lick on English and there were no other English speaking travellers there either, but as we were exploring the place a couple of ladies who work there introduced them selves and took the time to show us around and patiently dealt with our bad Spanish as we tried to communicate how appreciative we were that they were showing us the beautiful land. Apart from the free breakfast and coffee they had already made us, they also made us the most delicious fried fish rice and chips for lunch, and invited us for dinner! They were so accommodating lovely and sweet! I sadly can’t remember all their names…. Maria, Janet? I think haha And…. Gosh I don’t remember but three main ladies seem to run the joint and they are awesome! We joked around, got hugs, and it ended up being a very lovely stay. Cabana #2 was sooo clean, had a mini fridge, air conditioning, super comfy bed, tv with cable with lots of movies you can swap to English, Clean ensuite that provided plenty of TP, clean towels soap and shampoo. We Felt super safe and secure, as there is security at the front gate, and again breakfast, coffee and packed lunch included (though we had ours there) it was great! Very quiet and chill and surrounded by lots of trees and plants and they are adding more diversity and plants all around, can’t wait to revisit in 10 years to see how it looks! Super super close to marsella and 5 minute Moto ride to Maderas.

Mooie kleurrijke tuin vol hangmatten. Heel gezellig.Goede locatie. Kamer was prima. Aardig personeel. Prima ontbijt met variatie tegen kleine meerprijs.

Monkey house is gelegen op een fantastisch locatie met geweldig uitzicht en de beste zonsondergang van Nicaragua. Het personeel en eten is van goede kwaliteit. De keuken is klein, maar heeft alles wat je nodig hebt.
