All units at the hostel are equipped with a flat-screen TV and a kitchenette. Rooms, bathrooms, and all facilities were exceptionally clean and well supplied. There was a sink, toaster, and tea kettle in our room along with tea, coffee and cocoa. Milk was provided. In addition to the Spotless rooms … I cannot give a high enough rating for Craig’s cooking. Our meal was one of the best anywhere we’ve eaten in NZ. All fresh veggies from garden. Salad had little blue edible flowers! Not only beautiful, but tasty huge portions!

We had the family room and it was enormous. There was an absolutely beautiful view over the mountains. The kitchen area was separate from the sleeping cabins which made for an extremely peaceful night.

A well run hostel. Very clean and many different hang out options. Great location by the lake. The bed was so comfortable with crisp linens. They have locker boxes for excess stuff while you are on trail. This first time, we stayed in the double room above the parking lot (9B). It has wide window front and a cute shared kitchenette.
