A new and modern hostel, that feels more like a nice hotel that happens to have bunk beds! The dorms have their own ensuite bathrooms, fluffy white towels and crisp bed linen provided. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Location is very central, just mind that the road is quite busy so it can be hard to stop directly in front of the hostel. Had a wonderful stay here, and returned for my last couple of nights before leaving the Azores!

Towels are free and if you want a beach towel to take with you to the beach, they offer one for free as well. Despite so many amenities, the hostel is still cheaper than others here with less amenities. SkyPDL has one of the nicest kitchens I've ever seen in a hostel. Even better, they have sharp knives! The breakfast is delicious and the menu has small bonus changes daily. If you check out early in the morning, they prepare you a breakfast to go. The hostel is 5-10 minutes from the center, the port, shopping and restaurants

I liked that I was welcomed by the host Stefan, who was very nice and explained everything very well. You have everything you need, it’s nice and clean and comfortable and has a nice view of the pico mountains. I came in the winter so didn’t get to use the outside space, but in the summer I’m sure it’s very nice! It’s well located, walking distance to the center of the city. In the morning you have a very nice breakfast selection that helps you start the day. They really make you feel welcome and part of the “Loving Strangers” family. Thank you Stefan and Sofia
