The staff were not only friendly but also incredibly helpful, making my stay more enjoyable. The room was nicely and surprisingly quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The light breakfast offered was a pleasant start to the day, and the overall environment created a welcoming and positive atmosphere. I highly recommend this hostel for a memorable and comfortable stay.

I had a fantastic stay at Taphae Gate Lodge Hostel in Chiang Mai. The location is perfect—just a short walk from the Tha Phae Gate, making it easy to explore the Old City, night markets, and local temples. Despite being so central, the hostel is in a quiet area, allowing for a peaceful night’s sleep. The cleanliness of the hostel exceeded my expectations. The rooms, bathrooms, and common areas were always spotless, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment. It’s clear that the staff takes great care in maintaining the space. Speaking of the staff, they were incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. Whether it was offering recommendations for places to visit, assisting with bookings, or simply greeting guests with a smile, their hospitality made a real difference. Overall, I highly recommend Taphae Gate Lodge Hostel for anyone visiting Chiang Mai. It’s a great combination of convenience, cleanliness, and warm hospitality. Would definitely stay here again!

Only stayed for a night but it was a good experience clean and comfy dorms and staff helped with late check-in as well as suggested me places for food late night. Overall it good and affordable Hostel.

The location is right in the heart of Chiang Mai residential area, very quiet and laid back. The staff was super helpful always ready to share tips and even tried to help set-up the big TV in the reception area to watch the F1 race. On top of that, the included breakfast offers a high number of options and the coffee is as good as any other speciality coffee shop.

The hostel also provides free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. The guest house is just a very short walk from the historic park and the weekend night market. The room was very spacious, and the bathroom designed so that the shower water was contained and didn't make the entire floor wet. A refrigerator was a nice touch. And there was coffee, toast and cookies in the morning -- not exactly breakfast but something to hold you over until you can walk to one of the many nearby restaurants.
