They go above and beyond to make you feel like a friend rather than just a guest. The evening promotions on drinks are a nice touch and the on-site restaurant serves delicious food at a reasonable price. The swimming pool offers a stunning view and there's even the option to book private villas. Not to mention, the breakfast spread is impressive with a wide variety of options that make it well worth the price. The complimentary evening beer is a nice perk, and booking tours through them was a satisfying experience. I highly recommend this hostel more than any other!

Big room and spacious closet space, and the staffer Liah was very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was quick, tasted good, and was a big portion! Good location, excellent value.

Very nice social vibe and such a wonderful family. Really fast WiFi, did a virtual interview here and had no issues with connection. Had a bike accident during my stay, and the family couldn’t have done more to help me, brought me to hospital+pharamcy, loaned me cash as hospital didn’t take card, made sure I was ok for the rest of my stay, didn’t overcharge for damage to bike. Could not recommend more. Such good family dinners, really nice to socialise with people at the hostel. Food was so good, asked for recipe for fried pumpkin and was given a hand written recipe upon check out!!

The Palm Lodge is a lovely new hostel right in the center of Phong Nha. It only opened a few weeks ago, and you can really feel how passionate the owner, Hung, is about his place! Hung and his staff genuinely care about your well-being and always make sure you feel at home. On top of that, they run a small restaurant where you can enjoy delicious local dishes – everything I tried was fresh and tasty! If you need help booking tours or rentals, they’re more than happy to assist and give helpful advice. All in all, I had a great stay at The Palm Lodge and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Phong Nha!
