This was one of my best hostel experiences anywhere in the world. The host went so far out of her way to help with recommendations and to ensure you have a perfect stay. Couldn't rate Nothando's highly enough. Definitely worth staying at if you're in Plettenberg Bay.

Located around 16 km from Lakes Area National Park, the hostel with free WiFi is also 18 km away from George Golf Club. The accommodation offers evening entertainment and a shared kitchen. The facilities were ideal. Cool in the heat, good shower, clean bed, lots of space in the private room. Very practical and given the price, a bargain. The staff and owner were brilliant. The food and the location ideal.

All of the staff were very kind and friendly. The room was nice than I expected. You really don't need to leave because a restaurant, small store, and the beach are literally right there! If you don't want to swim in the big waves, a small calm lagoon is a short walk down the beach.

The hostel has a barbecue and mountain views, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or a drink at the bar. This was so nice. It felt you could really get out of it what you wanted. If you wanted to engage with the staff and people there you could but you could also retreat privately. We staid in one of their private huts. The views were STUNNING for the sunset. The pizza was also very good.
