This was one of my best hostel experiences anywhere in the world. The host went so far out of her way to help with recommendations and to ensure you have a perfect stay. Couldn't rate Nothando's highly enough. Definitely worth staying at if you're in Plettenberg Bay.

Unreal hostel. Definitely make sure you stay here during your trip along the garden route. The dorms overlook the beach so you wake up with an ocean view and you can easily walk to the town/main attractions. Staff and volunteers were extremely lovely and definitely made the stay! Thursday is open mic night and Sundays they have live music both of which are a lot of fun.

Featuring an ATM, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. The hostel also features free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. All of the staff were very kind and friendly. The room was nice than I expected. You really don't need to leave because a restaurant, small store, and the beach are literally right there! If you don't want to swim in the big waves, a small calm lagoon is a short walk down the beach.

What makes this place extra special is Debbie, the manager. She goes out and beyond to make sure that the guest is extremely satisfied. She even took me on a hike and had her friend drive me around because I didn't have a car. Thank you Debbie for making my stay here feel like home. I recommend this place to any backpacker and wouldn't stay anywhere else whenever I visit Plattenburg. As for the accommodation itself, it's very clean and you have everything that you need.
