Piqerasi is my hometown. My love. My everything. I, Miho Gjini, a writer, art scholar and journalist, was born and raised in this village by native parents. You are invited to spend some beautiful days in Piqeras and in the surrounding villages, so as you can enjoy the friendship, the nobility and the pleasure that the nature of these places offer generously. In my life I’ve been working hard and passed through many difficulties, I’ve studied and wandered around the world, I have taught at high schools of Arts and Culture in Tirana, I have also experienced immigration to a foreign country doing any job in order to survive, I have written and published 30 books and thousands of articles in a journalistic character, and finally, I have returned here, to my wonderful village, because only here can I find the magic of life and the beauty of nature.

The Piqeras Village is located on the Lower Coast of Albania, stretching from the city of Vlora to the city of Saranda. On the south side of this picturesque coast between Himara and Saranda (28 km), is Piqerasi. On the north side there are the villages of Borsh and Fterrë and on the southern side are bordered by the small villages of Susaj, and Lukovë. While on the east side, across the mountain and the sea, where stands like an anchored ship, the village of Piqeras, which faces the picturesque Ionian Sea area and the Greek island of Corfu at the opposite side, with Porto Palermo’s coast on the right side and the coast of Hundecova on the left side. The coastal line of Piqerasit reaches 4 km in length and 2 km in width. Almost in the center of this coast line is the Bunec Area, where a small river runs through with the same name, which rises at the foot of Mount Lavan and flows into the sea. Also, there is a small harbor of the same name as well, where in the past there was a water supply, which supplied domestic and foreign ships trading with the cities of the Mediterranean
