Our family owns a small apartment in a prime location within the heart of the bazaar. Given its central position, we recognized an opportunity to provide accommodations in one of Gjirokastra's most iconic buildings. The apartment is cozy and aesthetically decorated with handcrafted ceilings, beds, and doors. We offer two available rooms, one with a double bed and the other with two twin beds. During the renovation process, we prioritized preserving the original character of the house. From the apartment's windows, guests can enjoy a captivating view of the central bazaar and the castle. The surrounding area offers an array of amenities, including bars, pubs, shops, coffee shops, bakeries, and markets

The Old Bazaar in Gjirokastra, locally known as "Qafa e Pazarit," serves as the heart of the Old Town. The history of the Bazaar dates back to the 17th century, although not much remains from that era. Historical accounts indicate that a devastating fire severely impacted the old bazaar during the third quarter of the 19th century. Following the fire, the bazaar underwent complete reconstruction. As a result, the buildings share a consistent architectural style, with some having two stories and others having three. Despite these variations, they exhibit remarkable structural uniformity throughout. The first floor served as the artisans' daytime workplace, while the second floor had various uses depending on the shop.
