Haus Otis is a spacious 2 bedroom apartment located in Millstatt. The apartment is set out over two floors. It is a wonderful location for both winter and summer holidays, and has views of lake Millstatt and the mountains from the property. Downstairs there is an open planned living space, with a dining area and full kitchen. The kitchen has an induction hob and full size oven, a fridge with small freezer and dishwasher. The living area opens directly onto the outside terrace where there is space to enjoy meals together or simply relax. A BBQ is located on the garden terrace. Upstairs, there are two large double bedrooms and a bathroom. Both bedrooms have two beds which can be arranged as either one Superking size bed or two singles depending on your preference. The modern bathroom features a walk-in rain shower with a wonderful view of Lake Millstatt. There is underfloor heating and a heated towel rail for winter stays. Both bedrooms open out onto the balcony where there is seating with views, and a laundry drying area. There is a communal entrance hall, a small utility room with space for jackets and shoes, and a communal washing machine and dryer are available on site (free). Bikes or ski equipment can be stored in our cellar space. We can accommodate additional infants in the apartment under the age of 2. A travel cot, highchair, baby gate, toddler crockery and toys are available free for your use. (please let us know what you require). We also have beach toys, umbrellas and floats you can borrow. We have several parking options. A small covered open garage, directly on our driveway, and additional parking behind the property for up to 2 additional cars or larger cars. We have an 11kw Electric car charger at the property guests can use (0.20cents kw for 2024) . The Millstattercard is included for guests staying at the property, this allows guests FREE access to the local lake beach areas on the Millstättersee.

We are an English family who moved to Millstatt several years ago for its wonderful lifestyle. We speak English and German. We live at Haus Otis on the other side of the property, with our young son and a friendly cat. We enjoy hiking in the local area, which we can do from the woods right behind our house, on a short drive to various altitudes, or by using the local cable cars located all over Carinthia. In winter we enjoy the snowy climate, with winter walks and skiing nearby. Our house is an old house from the 1950s. It was one of the first built in this street, and remained in the same family for 60+ years. We hope to continue , and have spent a lot of time and love renovation the house and garden.

It is a fantastic area to visit all year round. Winter allows for skiing in several nearby ski resorts like Goldeck, Katschberg and Bad Kleinkirchheim. Summer is where the lake becomes the main attraction, and hiking is available all year around. The apartment is located at the top of Alexanderhofstrasse, allowing for great lake and mountain views. The woods to local walks are accessible directly behind the apartment. It is a quiet neighbourhood, based on a no through road so minimal cars. We have a garden behind the house with lots of home grown fruits and vegetables. The apartment terrace has a large herb garden . Lake Millstatt is a 15 min walk away, which is where you will also find the nearest supermarket and local spa. There is a lovely beach area with access to the lake in Millstatt . You will find several restaurants and cafes, as well as general stores such as a pharmacy, gift store and bike hire.
