History In 2011 we started our B&B in the Netherlands and with great pleasure and enthusiasm we looked after our guests for 7 years. Unfortunately we were unable to expand at this location and we searched for a new and larger location with more possibilities. We finally found these in the Austrian Seeboden. We hope that you as a guest will appreciate our service just as much as in the Netherlands. In any case, we will do our very best to make the same assessment. In the Netherlands, we were rated 9.5 at Booking and we are still proud of that.

About us Let’s introduce ourselves: We are Annet and Marco. Since April 2018 we are the proud owners of Pension Kärnten in Seeboden. Our guest house has 11 rooms, ranging from 2 up to 5 people and an apartment for up to 5 persons. In the sunny south of Austria (Carinthia) the sun shines much more often than in the rest of Austria and you will experience the Mediterranean climate in both summer and winter. With the beautiful Millstättersee 5 minutes by car from our guesthouse, it is the ideal starting point for many excursions, discovery trips, hikes or sporting activities in the always fascinating province of Carinthia. Whether you come together, with the whole family, with friends, on a motorbike, anything is possible with us. And in the evening, after an exhausting or relaxing day, enjoy a snack or drink in our cosy bar or outside in our large courtyard garden. We welcome you warmly!

The Millstättersee is only a 5-minute drive from our guesthouse. The water of the large lake fascinates, nature enchants. Typical of the Millstättersee is its terraced topography. The lake, at 600 metres, forms the first step. The second step, at 900 metres, is the high plateau that extends from the eastern to the western shore of the lake. The third step, the Millstätter Alpe, is at 2000 metres. With a length of 12 kilometres, the Millstättersee is the second largest lake in the southern province of Carinthia. The Millstättersee is up to 1.5 kilometres wide. Although sunny Carinthia has many mountain lakes, the jewel of the province is the Millstättersee. With 24 degrees Celsius in the summer, it is also one of the warmest lakes in Austria. In the Goldeck ski area near Spittal, freeriders and boarders will find a 50 hectare freeride area. The Goldeck ski area has the longest black piste in the Alps: over a length of 8.5 kilometres, you descend 1600 metres in altitude. Around the Millstättersee you can relax on a horse-drawn sleigh ride or a snowshoe hike. There are more than thirty ski resorts within a 30-minute radius of Goldeck.
