Hello, Altitude 700 Rural Retreat has been a happy place of calm, relaxation & rejuvenation from work for the past 19 years. I've been slowly renovating & enjoying the property over the last 6 years & this is the first time it’s been offered for short term rent. I hope the magic of my retreat can work for you too! My childhood home is in tropical North Queensland and I spend as much time here as I can now life has slowed down a little.

Located in one of the most picturesque areas of the Atherton Tablelands, 12 minutes drive from the town of Malanda that has excellent services & experiences including a spar supermarket, bottle shops, historic pub, seafood shop, butcher, chemist, medical centres, coffee shops, an old historic theatre, beauty, hair and nail salon, fitness centre and 2 service stations. 1.5 hours drive from Cairns International Airport through picturesque scenery of tropical North Queensland and easily accessed via the Gillies or Kuranda ranges. From the south, access is from the Palmerston highway. Central to the attractions of the Atherton Tablelands including the crater Lakes of Eacham and Barrine, Lake Tinaroo, historic villages of Atherton, Yungaburra, Millaa Millaa, Herberton and Kuranda. Coffee plantations, tropical wineries, Shaylee strawberry farm, Gallo dairy and the "Waterfall Way" are all easily accessible. Travel a little further to the coast for a reef experience, we're 1 hr 45 mins to Port Douglas and 1.5 hrs to Palm Cove and Cairns.
