Cable Station’s location 5 minutes from the fishing port of Stanley and the Nut on the North West (NW) coast of Tasmania, with the Tarkine, (the world’s largest cool temperate rainforest) just 45 km away, means we are able to offer guests a fantastic accommodation experience that combines Tasmanian heritage within natural beauty.
Little Blue Penguins can be seen at night on the road near the entrance to the Abalone farm and at the West Beach. Take one of our red filtered torches so as not to scare them off with a naked light. The village of Stanley features a number of award winning restaurants, boutique cafes, shops and galleries. A visit to Highfield Historic House; Woolnorth tours; Stanley Seal Cruise; a trip to Marrawah or the Big Tree and Dip falls are just a few recommended local attractions.
Our own passion for local, seasonal produce together with the availability of quality suppliers across NW Tasmania allows us to create beautiful breakfast hampers for guests to enjoy and access to fresh local produce for BBQ's. The Cable Station creates a sense of connection for guests to Tasmanian produce, people, heritage and nature.
