Situated on a quiet street in the heart of Sydney’s Inner West, The Butchers Nook is a heritage listed former butchers shop (circa 1915) turned cosy retreat, and has everything you need for a weekend visit or an extended stay. Our BnB is full of vintage charm, beautifully decorated and full of thoughtful touches. We are 10 mins by cab from the airport, close to public transport links and within walking distance from the small bars, coffee shops, restaurants and shops in and around Marrickville, Newtown & Enmore. Proudly a LGBGTQI+ ally 🏳️‍🌈 Safe & secure space for solo guests HOUSE RULES: we don’t have a ‘no kids’ policy, but our space is not suitable for young children. There’s one Queen bed and a maximum of 2 people, so kids will have to share this bed. No pets please. Candle/incense/flame free zone: In the interests of fire safety please refrain from lighting candles, incense or any product with a flame/embers. Although we are near major transport hubs we are actually in a really quiet part of the Inner West. You will hear planes briefly as they take off and land when the flight paths near our house are in use but the airport does switch these around and there is a curfew. In the interests of keeping the neighbourhood peaceful, please respect the community and be mindful of noise. No loud noise after 8.30pm please. No parties or events are allowed. No smoking or vaping is allowed on the premises, this includes the back courtyard. If you break a glass or a plate, please don’t stress, these things do happen. Just leave a note/message me or leave it out so I can replace it. Please double check you have left the key fob behind as you depart

Born in NZ, moved to the Gold Coast as an 80’s kid and escaped to Sydney as soon as I could! Love looking after our guests and running our little bnb. Pleased to meet you :) We live next door to the bnb, and will never invade your privacy, we take great pride in ensuring your stay is all you expected it to be. We are 10 mins by car from the airport, and in the middle of a vibrant collection of suburbs known as the Inner West that are known for their diverse restaurants, bars, cafes, theatre and vintage/independent shopping. We are next to Sydney’s famous LGBTQI+ area Newtown and border Marrickville, Enmore and Alexandria. We are close to the lovely Cooks River walk (starting at Tempe Station, one stop from our nearest station Sydenham) which is a meandering walk through gardens and bush settings along the river. We are also close to beautiful Sydney Park with its heritage listed chimneys and beautiful walks It hosts Parkrun on the weekend and has wetlands full of birdlife. Sydenham train station is only 5 mins walk and you can catch an express train to the city in 10 mins. It’s also a junction station and you can pretty much get to anywhere in Sydney. Despite our proximity to the city (6kms) and airport, we are in a really quiet street. There is some noise from the airport at times but there’s a curfew and they rotate use of the runways, so it’s intermittent. We ask that noise is kept to a minimum after 8.30 pm to respect our neighbours.
