East Geelong is a quieter residential area with large public open spaces and quick access to the city centre. The enormous Eastern Park runs down to the waterfront and is home to Geelong's historic Botanic Gardens. The park also has the nine-hole East Geelong Golf Club, Nearby Garden Street has plenty of cafes, bakeries and independent shops . For some great dining make sure to visit Little Creatures Brewery or the Elephant and Castle Hotel.
