Welcome to the Fechner Place guest suite, a beautifully furnished, contemporary retreat designed for your relaxation and comfort. Enjoy a restful night's sleep in our queen bed, fitted with luxurious, all-natural fiber linens. The adjoining ensuite bathroom provides environmentally sustainable shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap. The open layout features a kitchenette equipped with a microwave, coffee machine, kettle, fridge, toaster, and breakfast area. We provide a complimentary selection of teas, milk, butter, sugar, coffee, juices, fresh fruit, cheese, locally made bread, biscuits, and conserves. For your entertainment, a flat-screen television is provided. The modern bathroom is stocked with quality towels, a bath mat, hand towels, tissues, toilet paper, a hairdryer, and a straightening iron. Start your day in the private, sunny courtyard, a perfect spot for morning coffee. Later, unwind with a complimentary bottle of wine and cheese plate. Explore the Barossa Valley like a local! We provide push bikes for our guests, offering a fantastic way to visit the many nearby wineries and cellar doors at your leisure. They are very friendly and happy to assist with any questions. Our studio is a private sanctuary after a day exploring the Barossa Valley's wineries and culinary delights. Rest and recharge with a movie. Please note: Strictly no smoking is permitted inside the studio. Smoking is allowed in the courtyard, provided cigarette butts are disposed of in the ashtray and doors/windows remain closed. We do not accommodate pets. The provided continental breakfast offers a light to moderate meal for your stay. Please make yourself at home!

We've lived in the beautiful Barossa Valley all our lives; we were both born and raised in the small township of Lyndoch located at the south western end of the valley. Our families’ heritage is that of German and Italian. We built our first family home in Lyndoch and raised our three children on a small rural property there. After the children moved on we relocated to Tanunda and built our current home and studio apartment in 2011.

You will find the Fechner Place Studio nestled at the end of a quiet tree lined and street lit cul-de-sac close to a multitude of local attractions. It provides a peaceful, private, and secure venue from which you can explore what the Barossa has to offer. The adjoining private courtyard overlooking a wooded nature reserve is the ideal spot to enjoy your welcome platter and complimentary bottle of Barossa wine. Once settled in you have a multitude of choices – a 20-minute stroll along a well-maintained bitumen pathway and you’re at the shopping and tourist end of Tanunda. On your walk and 10 minutes down the track cast your eyes over the beautiful sports grounds of Tanunda, home to local football [and a recently announced 2025 AFL gather round venue], cricket, bowls, tennis, netball, and Kegel. Walk on and there’s no stopping you now; enjoy one of many outdoor coffee/breakfast cafes, take advantage of a huge cross-section of shops, [ladies] it’s a professional shoppers paradise. Later in the day make a booking in one of some of the finest dinning venues the State has to offer, and top off your day with a visit to a local wine bar and/or cocktail lounge. Venture only 10 minutes in the other direction from the Studio and you will be tasting just what you came to the region for; experience wines from small boutique to medium to large wineries, all with a story to tell. And that’s just in our neighborhood; next day hop in your car or be picked up at your front door by an organised tour operator and 15 to 20 minutes later, there’s Seppeltsfield; Maggie Beers Farm Shop; the Angaston markets and boutique shops; the Barossa reservoir and State pine forests; not to mention countless cellar doors. The Studio is in the hub of the Barossa, an area considered to be a virtual smorgasbord of entertainment, only 50 minutes from the CBD & a region which stays alive all year round hosting wine festivals, art festivals, music festivals, the Tour Down Under, the list goes on.
