Harkham is a small family owned and operated winery in the Hunter Valley crushing 20-25 tonnes of fruit per year. Since our first vintage in 2005, Harkham has focussed on making wines that are honest to their origins and whose personalities roam free. Wine to us is a living thing, a snapshot of a particular vineyard which has produced fruit in a particular year from the nutrients in the soil, from the sun, the rain, the entire living environment in which those grapes were grown. Not a manufactured product, but a product of nature, a thing of beauty with a unique personality that should be embraced and never censored. Our wines are farmed sustainably, fruit handpicked ensuring the highest quality, and our work in the winery is undertaken with no chemical additions, flavour adjustments, filtration or fining. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time. a deposit payment is taken at time of booking, you can cancel up to 60 days before the stay any cancellations will be refunded minus the credit card fees. Situated on Harkham Estate, with surrounding views up to the ranges, the property is a 6-minute drive to the Hunter Valley Gardens, and under 5 minutes to Cypress Lakes Golf Course. Close to well-known cellar doors, restaurants, and major tourist attractions, your stay will have you only minutes away from all the best the Hunter has to offer. As you enter this modern four bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms property, you will immediately feel at home. Contemporary and casual in style and design, Harkham House has everything you’ll need for a relaxing, rural stay. Central to the house is a stone-built fire place to warm the entertainment areas of lounge, kitchen featuring a small pizza oven, and dining, leading out to a sandstone balcony where you can enjoy a casual BBQ and glass of wine while watching the sun set over the acreage to the mountain range beyond. Enjoy the privacy of your own home, whilst the estate manager, who is always happy to have guests as neighbours, will be on hand should you need any assistance during your stay. Wood will be supplied for fireplaces and are regularly serviced in line with council regulation when in use. Fireplaces are unavailable from the 1 October until 30 April every year. Swimming Pools are open seasonally and available from 1 October until 30 April every year.
