Welcome to our premium country cabin nestled within the picturesque wineries of the Hunter Valley! Set amongst the vines of Oakvale Wines & Cellar Door, our cosy, private retreat offers a unique experience where you can unwind, sip local wines, and bask in the breath-taking beauty of the Australian countryside. Please Note: We offer a discounted nightly rate for mid-week bookings (Sun-Thurs). Inspired by the traditional shearers quarters of the Australian outback, our cabin is thoughtfully designed to provide a comfortable and authentic cabin experience that makes for a memorable getaway. Our cabin is situated next to the iconic old 'Barton's Butchery' cottage, a rustic Australian icon frozen in time (no longer in use). Perfect for couples or solo travellers, our cabin offers a warm and inviting atmosphere with its minimalist scandi-inspired decor, and has everything you need and nothing you don't. The cabin's private deck offers a serene spot to unwind and soak up the tranquillity around you. Savour a glass of locally produced wine while taking in the panoramic views. Relax in the living area on our hand-crafted leather armchair where you can enjoy a good book, play some board games or listen to a tape on our retro cassette player (don't worry, it has bluetooth too). On colder days, light a fire, or use the reverse-cycle air-conditioning for the warm ones. The cabin features a comfortable queen-sized bed with luxurious bed linens and views of the surrounding vines. The kitchen is fully equipped with essential amenities. The counter seating is the perfect place to enjoy meals as well as being a great place to set up a laptop if you’re planning the next day’s adventure or you’re a digital nomad looking for time out of the city. The bathroom boasts a luxurious shower and complimentary soap, shampoo and conditioner. We’re partially off-grid and have a state of the art composting toilet (no smells here!). Once the sun sets, cosy up by the fire pit.

We are located 2 hours from Sydney. Pokolbin truly is the heart of the famous Hunter Valley food and wine region.
