Thredbo is located in the heart of the Kosciusko National Park and offers scenic hiking trails, mountain biking, fishing, golfing or just relaxing in the mountain air and is Australia’s best snow resort and premier year-round alpine destination and has been voted Australia’s Best Ski Resort in the prestigious World Ski Awards for the seventh consecutive year, in addition to receiving the ‘Australia’s Best Ski Resort For Families’ award at the 2023 Out And About With Kids Awards for the sixth year in a row, the ‘Best Australian Resort’ award at the 2023 Snowsports Industries of Australia Awards for the second year in a row and more. There is also the Thredbo Leisure Centre, an easy 800m walk from the Thredbo Central Village Area. In winter, Thredbo is home to the country’s longest runs, almost double the amount of vertical than any other resort and Australia’s only alpine Gondola.
