The refurbished Mungo Shearers' Quarters within Mungo National Park offers cosy facilities close to key attractions, including Mungo Visitor Centre, Meeting Place and is located at the start of the Mungo Self-guided Drive tour. Exploring these authentic former shearers’ quarters, you can’t help feeling you’re a part of the park’s former life as a functioning sheep station. Imagine the click of the shears as you share a meal in the communal kitchen/dining room, or relax and have a yarn in the central courtyard. Mungo Shearers’ Quarters has two rooms with three bunk beds, one room with one double and two bunk beds, one room with one queen and two bunk beds, and one room with one double bed plus a shared toilet block and showers.

This is a remote park, please arrive well prepared. Guests visiting Mungo National Park should be self sufficient, carrying adequate food, drinking water, a spare tyre, and a full tank of petrol.

There is no petrol or diesel available in the park. Please plan your trip distances and be sure to fuel up prior to leaving the major cities and the smaller townships.

Guests need their own bedding (sleeping bags or duvets, pillows, blankets), towels and tea towels.
