Both our red & green carriages are identical & modeled from the balcony ended tram car Built by Great Eastern Railways, England in 1884. The tram car was built for the Wisebec to Upwell line. Diane & I have built this unique accommodation from the ground up overlooking the NSW North Coast Railway line & a rural setting. You have an electric cooktop, Microwave & electric BBQ to use, We have some great restaurants & pubs 10 minutes away. Our phone box is your laundry !! The two carriages are located 90 metres from our house & sited to provide you with your own privacy, we are available for local info & any concerns during your stay.

Dave & Diane built the carriages from the ground up onsite in 2019. Diane is a retired retailer of quilt fabrics, enjoys the garden, cooking, sewing & grandkids Dave is a retired builder, enjoys outdoor pursuits like MTB, water skiing, Dirt bike riding, golf & kayaking. Dave is also a Rotarian & enjoys grandkids We like to say G'day when you arrive & provide you with some local knowledge or traveling information.

Nambucca Valley Train Carriages are located Halfway between SYDNEY & BRISBANE near Nambucca Heads, Macksville & Bowraville. We have 9 acres of rural setting with the North Coast Train line as a neighbour 200 metres away. You can watch the trains passing from your balcony or the viewing platform, closer to the line We have regular wallabies on the property. Our 200 metre driveway is very well maintained for easy access. You will have absolute privacy in either carriage. You can enjoy the fire pit with supplied firewood. You have the use of a laundry in our phone box & access to our swimming pool. Riverview Island wedding venue is 3km away NVTC is a great traveling stop over OR a playground for longer stays. Kayaking our rivers Jacks Ridge MTB track is 10 minutes away for some ooorsome riding Surfing Scotts Head & Nambucca Fishing in the river or outside You can ride your dirt bike to the forestry trails from your carriage. Some great 4x4 driving in the hinterland We have 3 golf courses in the Nambucca Valley. The river at Macksville is great for all boating, & skiing Stroll the V Wall art on the rock wall, where the river meets the sea Great snorkeling in the river at Nambucca, in sheltered waters Bowraville has a folk museum & a military museum Nambucca has the headland museum Shelley Beach is a great family beach with a boat ramp for the fisho's The Pub with no beer ( Slim Dusty song) is 30 minutes away Bowraville boasts the iconic theatre for stage plays & movies
