Company information

Originally an art teacher, Penelope has run restaurants in Victoria and Tasmania before venturing into the Bed and Breakfast business. She combines her love of art and design with her love of good food and coffee. Penelope was previously owner/manager of both Edinborough Gallery B&B and Cleburne Homestead B&B in Hobart.

Property information

The Old Colony Inn is a heritage property dating from the 1830's. Mainly built of stone and brick, it is believed that it was originally a hops store servicing the rural community of early of New Norfolk.

Neighbourhood information

The Old Colony Inn is just two streets from exquisite walks beside the Derwent River and two streets form the centre of historic New Norfolk town centre. Famed for its heritage buildings, antique shops and beautiful landscapes, New Norfolk also offers a variety of great places to eat including the Agrarian Kitchen Eatery, the Black Swan coffee shop, Patchwork Cafe, The Cake Lady cafe and the Quilted Teapot cafe with its hearty open fire.
