You’ll feel as though you’re a world away from the big smoke at this family-friendly home in the heart of Tighes Hill. Set among beautiful gardens, it’s imbued with a Tuscan aesthetic, replete with a pizza oven and alfresco dining beside the pool. The living and dining area is open plan, with one side opening to a deck and garden, and the other leading out to the pool. A grand oversized kitchen is designed around a central island with plenty of space to socialise, entertain or take things slow at the breakfast bar. Come together for a shared meal in the evening then relax on the lounges for movie nights at home. A winding staircase will carry you upstairs to the bedrooms. Each comes with comfortable queen-sized beds and you’ll find storage space throughout for your belongings. Central air-conditioning and heating make this a year-round retreat, while a dedicated office space caters to those combining business and leisure stays. Travelling with kids? A travel cot and highchair can be provided on request. Refresh in two immaculately bathrooms, one with a bathtub, and enjoy the convenience of a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer. Parking is provided on the driveway.

The charming suburb of Tighes Hill sits roughly 10 minutes’ drive from central Newcastle and two minutes from Mayfield East Shopping Village. Dotted with cafes, wine bars and artist studios, there’s plenty of hidden gems to discover. Get your caffeine fix at Praise Joe, grab an Italian-inspired brunch at Bar Solè and enjoy a classic pub meal at The Oak. While in Newcastle, don’t miss a dip in Merewether Ocean Baths or a stroll along the Newcastle Memorial Walk as it winds its way along the headland. Get your culture fix at the Newcastle Art Gallery or Newcastle Museum and experience nature at Glenrock State Conservation Area.
