The bedroom has a comfy queen bed (bed with fresh linen made up in advance of your stay) & the spacious bathroom has a big walk-in shower & plenty of space to put all your toiletries. The Living Room has a comfy sofa bed which can sleep a 3rd guest - linen is provided (when advising upon booking) so that you can make up this sofa bed yourself when using it. We love travelling the world & have stayed at a Chateau in the South Of France, travelled the Mediterranean by boat, and explored the castles of England & the many beautiful cities of Europe. However, despite all those memorable trips, there is something special about the South Coast that draws us in every time. We discovered Jones Beach and, in the process, paradise. It fills us and our family with so much joy, and we love it when we can share its beauty with others. Kiama Downs is a suburb of the town, Kiama, in the Illawarra region, south of Sydney, Australia. It is a scenic and peaceful local township and is linked by cycleways and footpaths to Bombo Beach in the south and Minnamurra River in the north and Jamberoo in the west. Renowned for it's picturesque beaches and seaside views, it is about 3 kms north of Kiama and is bordered by the Minnamurra River to the north west and Jones Beach to the east. Jones Beach is a popular surfing beach with a north easterly aspect. It is home to the local boardriders' club and patrolled Surf Lifesaving Club volunteers. You can hop across the road to find cafes, a supermarket, liquor store, pharmacy, medical practice, gym, and of course the iconic hamburger joint. Take a walk to the southern end of Jones Beach to the stunning Cathedral Rocks, a distinctive rock formation that has been shaped by years of weathering and erosion. Enjoy the stunning views that this rocky outcrop provides and don't forget your camera - this is a great spot for a picture, especially at sunrise. Heading north you will find the Minnamurra Whale Watching Platform, and Coastal Walk that rounds the headland to Minnamurra River.
