Company information

We are easy going and friendly people. We love houses that are homes, warm and modern designs, art, architecture and music. We travel as much as we can and do so as often as possible. On shorter trips we explore the shores of Australia in our Coaster Bus. We love the outdoors, sunrises, sunsets, vineyards, good food, fishing, bush walking and bike riding. Angeline is Irish, runs a small Marketing Company and also manufactures beautiful Blankets and Umbrellas (as seen in the Loft!). Richard is of Irish Decent and works in the Property Industry. We love living in St.Kilda West, its an amazing vibrant place with always something new going on. xx

Everyone loves The Garden Cottage, it’s just special. Built as simple lodgings in the 1920’s, newly renovated in 2020 this semi self- contained dwelling was once the former residence of a past owner 'Old Jack'. The cottage is extremely cosy, very romantic and quiet. A small entry door, opens to a wonderfully furnished lounge complimented by pot belly wood heater and small kitchenette designed to make tea or coffee and prepare a simple meal. The bedroom area is large and hosts a king size bed, a wonderful and very rare cast iron hip bath is neatly tucked in the corner. A combination of antique and modern furniture, with many pieces of original artwork.

Welcome to Poets Lodge, an extra ordinary escape to luxury accommodation in country Victoria. This is a magical place, it is both home and haven, a place to breathe and witness the change of seasons, a place to simply enjoy each other’s company. Close the door on everything, take time to read, think and relax. Light the fire, run a hot bath, prepare breakfast, slip back into freshly ironed linen sheets. Poets Lodge is a unique hameau, a blend of contemporary and colonial past, where modern living and heritage are seamlessly blended. We are located in the heart of Daylesford, only a few minutes walk to everything. Poets Lodge comprises three separate accommodation offerings. Reserve individually or all three for group stays.
