Quince Cottage-the perfect place to relax and unwind. Set in a lovely half acre garden just 2km from the Victorian spa centre of Daylesford, with peaceful rural views. The original semidetached timber-workers cottage has been modernized to include large spa and a kitchenette. The generous lounge room with Ned Kelly wood stove and large couch and separate bedroom features queen size bed with electric blankets. Perfect for a quiet weekend away but close enough to all the attractions of Daylesford and Hepburn. The cottage is attached to the main residence. There is a private entrance and you have use of the front part of the property.

The Daylesford-Hepburn Region is famous for its mineral waters and is known as the Spa Centre of Australia. Our beautiful scenery includes the famous Lake Daylesford, the Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens and the Wombat State Forest. There are historic buildings in the main street of Daylesford and the region’s history lies in the rush for gold. Lake Daylesford now covers land upon which gold was first discovered and offers lakeside picnic spots, cafes, walking tracks, fishing and pedal boating. The internationally known Lake House sits on its shores and there are public BBQ facilities and amenities adjacent to the main parking area. Lake Jubilee is located south of Daylesford (about a 10-15 minute drive) and is ideal for fishing, boating and swimming. If you are looking for a waterfall, visit Sailor’s Falls, less than 30 minutes south from the Daylesford Town Centre. If you are into the outdoors, Daylesford sits at the junction of three walking trails that are part of the Great Dividing Trail – the Lerderderg Track, the Dry Diggings Track and the Wallaby Track. The Hepburn Regional Park is a little less challenging and contains mineral springs and relics of the bygone gold era.
