This place is special. Chance led us here when we were looking for something different but love and connection made us stay. This place is a retreat, a place of escape, of healing and calm, exhilaration and power, peace, tranquility, laughs and memories. It is disconnection from the world and reconnection with nature and loved ones. The secluded timber cabins nestled into the foothills of the High Country, look over the legendary Snowy River. They are self-contained, simple and private. Turn off your mobile as there's no service here. Gather wood and laugh by the campfire, swim in the crystal waters of the Snowy or just find sanctuary in the peace of the bush. You'll see why we fell in love and never left. Brendan & Hayley Our property 'Lappi', was named so for its similarities to Lapland by the Finnish family who built the cabins and sauna from solid cedar logs using traditional Scandinavian building methods. The cabins are self-contained with their own kitchens and bathrooms. They are secluded and you cannot see another cabin from yours. Sit around the campfire at night and toast marshmallows whilst enjoying nature. Introducing our newly renovated standard cabins with a queen bed in the Studio area and bunk bed in the bedroom, as well as an updated bathroom and large windowed sliding door opening onto the verandah. Each cabin is heated and has its own full kitchenette with fridge, bench top oven and hot plates, microwave, toaster and kettle. The cabins are secluded and you can not see another from yours, enjoy the privacy as you sit by the campfire at night under the stars. All linen and towels are provided. 4WD/AWD access recommended, all vehicles to have minimum 200mm ground clearance. One additional guest can be catered for on a rollaway bed available for nightly rate, including additional guest fee, linen and towel, please add this request in the booking notes/message us.
Based in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains we have the most amazing scenery on our doorstep. Check out the Kosciuszko National Park, the Platypus swimming the Snowy River at Dalgety, Art galleries in Berridale or the Snowy Vineyard and Brewery only minutes down the road.

Guest pets are only permitted in standard cabins and conditions apply (see below). *We do recommend vehicles have at least 200mm of ground clearance due to sometimes rough surfaces and rocks on the road.
