We are Mark and Leesa, your hosts. The Beach Havens - Haven Tropicana and Haven Oceana are our creations. This is a small family run business. We’re designer builders, artists, sculptors, stylists, producers, project managers and jewellers. The Beach Havens was designed and hand built by Mark including all cast concrete cabinetry, indoor and outdoor tables, swinging day beds, chinese screens etc. Our youngest daughter and I create the interior decor. Together now for 30+ years sharing 5 children. We’re also the proud Noni and Poppy to seven glorious grandson’s and two precious granddaughters. Via work and leisure we’ve travelled far and wide and there are some truly amazing places out there in this small planet of ours. But we have not yet found anywhere we love more than this part of north coast NSW. We live nearby in another of our hand built creations. We love creating with our hands, pottering in our gardens, exploring our exquisite part of coastline and hinterland, and spending time with our family and friends. We like to keep things simple. As Michael Leunig says “love one another, and you will be happy. It’s as simple and difficult as that”.

Emerald Beach is situated on the north coast of NSW halfway between Brisbane and Sydney. A small beachside village adjacent to the Solitary Islands Marine Park where the temperate and tropical ocean species merge. It offers a beautiful safe swimming beach for families as well as an excellent surf beach break, along with a southern left-hand reef break. The headlands to the north and south of Emerald Beach, including the famous Look At Me Now Headland are nature reserves. You can walk for hours amongst the native fauna and flora including the local kangaroos that inhabit the headlands. The ocean water is pristine and brimming with fish life including pods of dolphins and seasonal whale migration. Emerald Beach has a variety of excellent restaurants and cafes as well as an organic food store, milk bar, hairdresser and bottle shop. You are a 10 minute drive from Woolgoolga to numerous cafes, Woolworths, IGA and specialty stores. 7 minutes to Moonee Plaza and Coles etc and short 14 minute drive to Park Beach Plaza and Coffs Harbour, with its myriad of stores, speciality shops, cafes, bars etc. 15 minutes from Coffs Harbour Jetty and 20 minutes from Coffs Harbour Airport.
