Welcome to our beautiful, self-contained guest home here at 'THE CHURCH', where it is exclusively yours throughout your booking. You can experience staying in a former church, located in the 2nd oldest township of South Australia in Gawler, on the doorstep of the Barossa Valley & gateway to the Clare Valley & only a 1 hour drive from Adelaide CBD.

We bought 'THE CHURCH' in March of 2010, with the view of converting it to a self-contained guest home in those ensuing years. We spent time refreshing the interior of the home and the gardens and together with family & friends, have spent some wonderful times here & out and about in our local community & region. We decided to launch it online to the local, national and international travelling community, to book as a getaway or short stay, for business accommodation or a home away from home opportunity. We love our home and appreciate its place in the history of the local area. It has a wonderful rustic ambience and it is our privilege to share it with you, as we absolutely love travelling ourselves & staying in quirky places with stories to tell!

'THE CHURCH' is located only minutes from Gawler's main streetline in Murray Street, where there is an array of hotels, cafes, shopping outlets and businesses to see, enjoy & meander through. It is on the doorstep of the Barossa Valley and at the gateway to the Clare Valley, being 2 of our most famous winery and gourmet food regions in South Australia. It is less than an hour from the Adelaide CBD, should you wish to visit and experience the sightseeing and the holiday atmosphere of our beautiful winery regions, north of Adelaide in South Australia. The Gawler Central Railway Station is a 15 minute walking distance, or less than a 5 minute drive from the property. You can contact the local taxi service or catch the local bus line. Many of the local tour operators can be organised to pick you up from the property also, should you wish to sit back, relax & be professionally guided throughout the region. The Visitor's Information Centre in Gawler is located at 2 Lyndoch Road Gawler and is open Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays 10am - 4pm and CLOSED Good Friday and Christmas Day.
