THE SPACE Throughout the Honey Barn you’ll find a soulful blend of elements of Bundjalung country. From a 150 year old barn door, reclaimed wooden furniture to wash basin and dinnerware handcrafted from local clay. As well as organic mineral paint walls, art, ceramics and homewares with earthy tones and textures that resonate with the raw energy of nature and the distinctive beauty of Wabi Sabi concept. The kitchen is stocked with organic local essentials for cooking, including cold pressed olive oil, herbs, citruses from the garden, fresh coffee beans and a range of medicinal adaptogenic herbal teas from our not-for-profit range, TeaGood. The Honey Barn has a charming deck with calming views of the hinterland, an outdoor bathtub to relax and feel closer to nature, and a BBQ for delightful alfresco dining. Rainwater harvesting, coupled with a state-of-the-art water filtration system, ensures responsible water use. We have solar panels in place to harness the natural energy available to the beautiful countryside and compost toilets to contribute to a greener environment. On-site you’ll find a range of bins for responsible handling of rubbish and recycling.

Born in France, and living in Australia for the last 15 years. Meet Krys & Nico, your host at The Honey Barn. After a few years running restaurants and retreat in Australia we have now settle in Byron hinterland and created some peaceful retreat for our guests to relax and enjoy the beauty of our region. Sharing the same land, our house is conveniently situated next to The Honey Barn. We respect your privacy and aim to keep our interactions minimal, allowing you to enjoy uninterrupted tranquility. However, we're readily available around the clock should you require any assistance or recommendations. Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priorities.
