I am a local and enjoy working in the tourism industry and have lived Port Douglas for over 25 years, just love Far North Queensland and all this tropical paradise has to offer. I love the weather, enjoy fishing and boating, the beach, hiking and travelling to Cape York and other parts of the Top End. I regularly dine out with friends at the variety of restaurants and eateries to suit any budget and enjoy the local entertainment. Good location opposite the iconic Sheraton Mirage. Just under 2 km from the heart of Port Douglas and the Marina area. It's a around a 20 minute walk into the centre of town or a short bike ride Only a minute by car. Local shuttle bus service picks up in front of resort, commencing at 7.00am each morning and stopping at 12.00am the following morning. The local bus service completes a circuit of Port Douglas every quarter of an hour (for a small fee). There is the Sheraton golf courses and a country club/gymnasium within five minutes walk . 5 minute walk across the road to four mile beach 🏖 Lots of tours and trips on offer 🌞
