"Bandhu" is a word of Sanskrit origin, meaning "friend" or "connection." Bandhu was founded by three brothers, in honor of their fourth brother.

Be enchanted by our unique accommodation dating back to the 18th century. The interior of the house remains true to its historical style, offering an authentic and unforgettable experience. Our romantic home is located next to the Vrijdagmarkt in Ghent, one of the oldest and most beautiful squares in the city – and in Belgium. Our accommodation dates from 1706. We cherish the historical charm of this old building and invite you to enjoy the unique atmosphere it provides. Please note that, like any old house, sounds from the past may occasionally echo through the walls. We consider this part of the special character of our property. During your stay, you are welcome to relax on the ground floor, for example to enjoy a delicious meal or have a cozy chat. You also have full access to the first floor, which includes a bedroom with a double bed, a staircase hall, a fully equipped kitchen, and a snug bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is a toilet on both the ground floor and in the bathroom on the first floor. The second floor (attic space) is not available for rent. We kindly ask you not to use this space, so we can avoid unnecessary cleaning costs. There are several bars and restaurants located on the square. Since you're staying in the heart of Ghent’s city center, it’s not unusual to occasionally hear some noise.
