Working and living in and around the tourism, travel and hospitality environment made gravitating to hosting a natural for us because the connecting Colony Club Inn & Suites is also a family-owned property. As frequent travelers ourselves, my son “William” wanted to join the hospitality business with a product that offers everything we look for ourselves when vacationing. We decided to remodel an apartment building into 4 well-equipped studio apartments for the daily rental tourist market, and here we are today with me handling reservations and “William” managing “Sandlewood Studios”.

We are a small family-owned and managed connecting property with the Colony Club Inn & Suites, which enables us to share amenities and help each other guests between the 2 properties. We offer four newly renovated studio apartments with connecting rooms’ capability located in Sandlewood gated community which adjoins the Colony Club Inn & Suites. Our studios are specifically designed to provide all the "creature comforts" one would expect to find in much bigger rental apartments, such as free wireless Wi-Fi, 39" big screen smart TV, free Netflix TV shows and movies, free washers & dryers in each unit, hurricane impact windows, a standby power generator, kitchenettes with 2 burner glass top stoves, mini-fridges, freezers, microwaves, Iron, Ironing boards. Hairdryers are available on request. Adjoining us next door is the Colony Club Inn & Suites Hotel. You are invited for a full breakfast at a minimal charge, and an evening happy hour from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm with free cocktails and snacks served daily on the pool deck.

We are centrally located between Nassau City and the Cable Beach hotel strip, so getting around from Sandlewood Studios is as simple as taking a 10-minute walk to the Bay Street intersection and flagging down a "Jitney" (local bus). Buses can take you to the fish fry restaurants and bars, downtown Nassau, Cable Beach, Baha Mar Casino, Saunders Beach, Goodman’s Bay Beach or Junkanoo Beach, all located East or West within a 1.5 miles distance from the Studios. Hadji’s convenience store, Prime Time bar, a package liquor store, Bahama Grill restaurant, and gas station are located just 10 minutes walk away. The closest beach is Saunders Beach; located 20 minutes' walk away. You will also find Kentucky Fried Chicken, Dominos Pizza, Burger King, a Pharmacy, Book Store, a Juice Bar, and a Fitness Gym opposite Saunders Beach. If you prefer getting a taxi, you can contact "William" or go to the Colony Club Hotel front desk and they will be happy to assist you. Arawak Cay fish fry with a wide selection of native restaurants, bars, an ATM, Ardastra Gardens & Zoo and the Cricket Club restaurant and bar at Forte Charlotte is also just 20 minutes walk away.
