We have owned and operated small hotels around the world. On the island of Vava'u in the South Pacific, in Banff and Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies, and Meribel in the French Alps. We have run a great seafood restaurant in the South Pacific called the Giggling Whale and Thirsty Turtle. We have had live-aboard sailing charters in the Mediterranean and in the South Pacific. We love to ski, sail, scuba dive, and meet people around the world in our free time. It's a big world with so little time and so many great places to see and people to meet Cathy and I look forward to hearing the stories of your travels around Nova Scotia and the world over coffee in the morning or a drink in the evening on the new guest patio or in the new garden

We are a 2-minute walk from all of Pictou's attractions including the waterfront boardwalk, museums, lobster farm, and the famous Hector sailing ship. All the shops and restaurants are just outside the front door. We have private off-street parking and a secure bike barn for people on cycles and motorbikes cars.

Its amazing here Pictou is where the first Scots settled and Nova Scotia got its name. So lots of history to discover. We have the ocean, nature, beaches, national parks, museums, great restaurants, interesting shops, and lovely very friendly local people. You can raft the highest tides in the world, go fishing or hiking or just do nothing! We are in the perfect location for the PEI ferry and people looking for a base to explore this great area of Nova Scotia
