Welcome! Crown House Bed & Breakfast offers it’s patrons a sleep in a quiet oasis, within walking distance to downtown and recreation. Centrally located between Nanaimo and Victoria, and on the crest of the Pacific Circle Route, Crown House can be a quick stopover on a journey up or down the island or a hub for several days as you explore the grand Vancouver Island. Our rooms are hypo-allergenic with private ensuite bathrooms. We provide everything you may need for your stay, including toiletries, robes, hairdryers. etc. We have free Netflix on our Smart Flat Screen TVs (one in each room) for a relaxing bed time wind down. Wind down in our salt water swim spa after a long day, or refresh with a swim before breakfast! There are outdoor hiking and biking and water activities to be had year round. We also have many wineries within an hours drive for doing a self-guided wine tour, or call one of the tour companies and arrange one with them. River tubing is very popular, and the river is calm and warm. The local swimming hole (Duck Pond Park) is a two minute walk from our house. All the restaurants are within an 8 - 10 minute walk from the house, two are right on the river. We have outdoor seating areas at our home, perfect for an evening glass of wine, or bring your dinner home and have a picnic. For correct driving instructions, please enter "crown house lake cowichan" into either google or apple maps. Our street address is 207 North Shore Road, but google maps has our post code wrong, so searching by street address will take you one a little extra trip. Check in is from 4 - 7 pm, unless you make some other arrangements if you can't make this time slot. Parking is in either one of the two marked parking spaces in front of the garage. Choose one, they are not assigned to an individual room. PAYMENT WILL BE COLLECTED AT CHECK IN. Questions are happily answered at check in. We look forward to hosting your stay! Our home is cozy, comfortable and inviting. We love sharing stories with guests from around the world. We enjoy helping our guests plan their next day with local information (should they require). We can help with almost any situation, just ask. Laundry, bandaids, headache tablets.....

We are located directly across the street from the lake and the local boat launch and an eight minute walk from the centre of town. There are trails and beaches galore to explore, as well as about 20 wineries within an hour drive. The local tourist information centre is also the location of the local museum. We are located at the halfway point of the Pacific Marine Circle Route, and are the perfect stopping location for this self guided tour. During breakfast, you can watch the hummingbirds!
