Overlooking Oxtongue Lake, this cottage resort is 10 km from Algonquin Park. It offers on-site access to a sandy beach and a fully equipped kitchen in each cosy cottage. A TV is included in all waterfront cottages at Lakewoods Cottage Resort. Gas barbecue facilities and a picnic table are also provided. Select cottages feature a gas fireplace. Guests can enjoy free use of canoes, kayaks and paddle boats. Paddling the Oxtongue River to Ragged Falls is a popular activity. A children’s playground, volleyball court and horseshoe pits are also available. The town of Huntsville is 30 km from Cottage Resort Lakewoods. Dwight Beach is 10 km away.

Property information

Welcome to Lakewoods Cottage resort a small resort near the entrance to Algonquin park. Enjoy our natural beach and free use of kayaks, canoes, SUP boards and peddle boats. Take one of the canoes or kayaks and paddle to the bottom of Ragged Falls and enjoy a swim or fishing. Our nine cottages have all been recently renovated and offer everything you need (bedding, fully equipped kitchen, individual gas grills and satellite television)to make your stay more enjoyable. Check in is from 15:00 to 22:00 (if you are arriving later please call ahead for alternate arrangements). Note: Do not use a GPS system to find us. It will lead you to the wrong place.

Neighbourhood information

Town of Dorset and the Dorset Fire Tower (climb and enjoy the spectacular view). World famous Algonquin Provincial Park. Town of Huntsville with live theater, festival of the arts in July and unique downtown shopping. Small village of Dwight with a unique small market and excellent bakeries.
