Romantic lakefront apartment in the heart of Gandria (THE LAKE HOUSE) The gentle waters of the lake, the green mountains framing it, the calm of sunrise in an ancient village: this dream will come true during your vacation in THE LAKE HOUSE! This original apartment, inside a small building located in the heart of Gandria, has the flavor of old lake houses.  On the left, opening the first door you will find yourself in the lovely kitchen, fully equipped and with a dining table for eating with friends. Going down the ladder (there is no door, but a curtain), there is the bathroom, with a cute little bathtub on the right, and on the left the toilet. Continuing on, there is the bright bedroom, with a French double bed. Crossing the staircase of the building on the same landing, you open the door and are greeted by the spacious and bright living room, furnished with a comfortable sofa, which becomes a double bed for the night, and a comfortable armchair, to watch a movie or relax reading a book in full relaxation. From here you can access the balcony, overlooking the wonderful view of the panorama of Lake Lugano: enjoy this beautiful view while sipping a coffee in the morning, or having an aperitif at sunset! Going down the stairs of the building, there is the patio with a stone table for outdoor dining, and direct access to the lake.  Please note: The living room and the rest of the dwelling are separated via the building's internal staircase, which is accessible to other residents of the condominium! Your privacy is assured within the premises. A set of towels is included in the stay for each person, along with sheets and blankets and a courtesy kit. We also leave a basket with the necessities for a breakfast. The apartment does not have a private parking space. Guests can park in the public parking lots within a 5-minute walk from the apartment (N.B. The village has many stairs and climbs to walk up!). Smoking is forbidden. Nearby: Gandria is a picturesque and well-preserved village, among the most beautiful lakeside villages in Ticino, whose houses nestled on the mountainside, on the slopes of Mount Brè, are reflected in the waters of the Ceresio. The narrow buildings are reached via stairways and narrow streets. Some houses date from the 16th and 17th centuries and are adorned with frescoes and stucco decorations. The village is easily reachable by boat from Lugano, by car and by bus via the scenic road, Strada di Gandria. Next to the apartment is Roccabella Restaurant, which offers menus of local dishes and also provides breakfast service upon request. Among the most celebrated points of interest is the famous Sentiero di Gandria, an extraordinarily beautiful path that follows the lake among green Mediterranean vegetation, olive trees, typical lakeside houses, and the lake within walking distance.  Also easily reached by boat are Cantine di Gandria and Caprino, on the other side of the lake, where you can walk a path through the greenery and enjoy Ticino food in typical Grotti. By car you can reach Lugano Lido and Ciani Park in just 10 minutes, Lugano center in max. 15 minutes. There is a nice little Lido also in Gandria, at the beginning of the path on the Castagnola side, the Lido San Domenico. Italy is also just a stone's throw away: the Gandria customs post is 2 minutes away, and crossing it you reach the beautiful Italian shore of Lake Lugano, with the small villages of Valsolda, such as Oria (famous for the Villa Fogazzaro Roi, a FAI heritage site) and Porlezza. How to get there:  By car, from the A2 freeway take the Lugano Sud junction and set the GPS: in 15 minutes you will reach the parking lot. By train, from Lugano station take bus No. 2 direction "Castagnola, Capolinea" for 5 stops and get off at "Lugano, Palazzo Studi" stop. From here take bus 490 direction "Gandria, Paese" for 7 stops and get off at the stop "Gandria, Strada." In 3 minutes walk you will reach the apt
