Coco Nosara, named after my Mom, is an ode to a pastime of spending time with family—the joy in the simplicity of just being together.​ My Mom, nicknamed Coco from childhood, recalls her life in Egypt, which she shared with nine siblings, their parents, and Nonnas. There were at least thirteen at the dinner table every night. She said they didn't have much, but they had each other. They were happy just being together. ​​​​​ Inspired by my Mom and her life story, our family found joy in our togetherness in Nosara. We value the closeness and simplicity of being together and want to bring this experience to other families. ​​​​ Originally from Toronto, Canada, our family vacationed in Nosara in 2021. Through the guidance and mentorship of a generous family who initially hosted us here, a family now friends, Coco Nosara was designed and built for your family to experience what we value greatly and share with my Mom: our time together. ​​​ We give all the glory to God and honor our parents, grandparents, and family before us for all their hard work and sacrifices. Coco Nosara is a boutique family resort with five villas and a hotel-size pool in Guiones Nosara, located on Costa Rica’s iconic North Pacific coast, the Nicoya Peninsula, and within one of the five blue zones in the world. A hotel-size, 1000-square-foot pool designed with the whole family in mind, providing a shallow area for young kids and a pool large enough to swim laps. Coco Nosara was built around a large Guanacaste Tree, which stands tall at the center of the boutique resort. To us, it represents a family tree, a place for family to gather and come together. Designed with minimalism and simplicity using custom teak wood furnishings and white and light tiles, the villas are built for function and comfort, allowing you to focus on those closest to you. 10 minute walk to Playa Guiones surf beach, one of the most consistent year round surf breaks in the world

LOCATION, WALK TO BEACH, ROAD NOISE, CONSTRUCTION , COYOL TRANSPORTATION, EXPECTATIONS LOCATION Coco Nosara is located south of and set back from the main road (Ruta 160) and right next to and North of Hotel Guiones. We do experience road noise outside our villas, but guests have commented how quiet it is in our villas which are built of solid concrete and remain relatively insulated from noise overall when inside their villas. Noise is a matter of personal preference. Please consider and confirm our location prior to booking our resort. WALK TO BEACH To walk to the beach families need to walk up our long driveway across the main road (Ruta 160) for a minute or two and down Main Guiones past Nalu and La Negra to get to Playa Guiones beach. The walk is about 10-15 minutes. To walk on the main road/Ruta 160 is a matter of personal preference and comfort. Guests should note this prior to booking our resort. Most guests opt to rent Golf Carts when commuting locally around Nosara. Host can provide a recommendation and referrals for rentals. We offer one parking spot with each villa. NOSARA/COCO NOSARA EXPECTATIONS Nosara is a unique place that offers a perfectly imperfect family vacation, which is why we only accept bookings by request to do our best to ensure that our resort fits your families needs prior to hosting your vacation. We have a busy road to the north of us, a walk up to the main road to get down to the beach, and dirt roads and hills all over Nosara. The pace is slow, you might wait longer for your food, the power and internet go out once in a while, and the monkeys can wake you up in the morning. We say that Nosara is not for everyone. But those who visit and love it either move here (like us!), keep coming back year after year, or don’t vibe with what Nosara offers and don’t return. Coco Nosara, like Nosara, offers a perfectly imperfect boutique family vacation resort. Occasional power outage and all.
