In a jungle area, at just 2 kilometers from the centre of Paquera you'll find Latino camping, where you can rent a 3x3m jungle tent. The tent has 2 single beds with mosquito nets, a fan, light/electricity and a mini fridge. The shared eco toilets and showers are located at 25 meters from the tent. You'll also find the shared kitchen at 25 meters from your tent.
If you wanna immerse yourself in nature, this is the place to be!! Waking up with the sound of the monkeys, enjoying the colourful birds and discover a hidden beach at just 20 minutes walking from the property.
Lots of activities and tours like:
- Hiking to the nearby beach. (20 minutes) it is a beautiful secluded beach!
- Tortuga Island tour
- Night kayaking / bioluminescent tour
- visit Curú reserve
- and more
Wilma is originally from the Netherlands. She's married to Franco, a real tico (as they call the costaricans). Together they started their campsite in 2022. A beautiful place full of nature that they definitely wanna share with their guests!
Their son Krislay does the bioluminescent/night kayaking tour. A really amazing experience that you don't wanna miss!
It's a small family bussiness where the hosts are working very hard to give you an unforgettable experience.
Latino Camping is located at 6km from the ferry arrival. The campsite is located at only 20 minutes walking from an under-the-radar beach. To get there you have to cross a plantain farm, a river and a mangrove area. An adventurous walk!
In the centre of Paquera you'll find some supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants, etc. The centre is located at 2 kilometers from the campsite. You can use the camps bicycles to get there.
Latino Camping offers the bioluminescence tour by kayak. And they can arrange the isla Tortuga tour by boat for you.
From the campsite it's only 7km to Curú Wildlife Refuge. Playa Muertos is located at 14km from Latino Camping, the Montezuma Waterfall you'll find at 36km and the famous beachtown Santa Teresa at 48km. It's a nice place to discover the surroundings. But also to just relax and enjoy nature. And to open your own coconut! In the dry season you can enjoy a nice bonfire in the evening. In the rainy season it's the experience of the rainforest!
