In the summer of 2023, owner Barry felt the spark: a dream of having his own place on Curaçao. After plenty of research and viewings, the choice quickly fell on Jan Thiel. Together with his partner and manager Willem, he now runs **The Green Turtle** with love, care, and a lot of joy. Their mission? To give you a carefree, relaxing, and truly unforgettable vacation. Manager Willem lives just five minutes away, so if you need anything, he’s always nearby to help.

Our small-scale resort in the heart of Jan Thiel is located on a quiet dead-end street, allowing you to fully enjoy your well-deserved vacation. In November 2025, the entire resort was completely restyled, giving it a fresh and tropical holiday atmosphere. Whether you want to explore the island or simply relax, The Green Turtle will make you feel right at home.

Ready to head out and explore? You’re in the perfect spot! Places like **Mambo Beach** and **Zanzibar** are only a five-minute drive away. Relax on the beach, enjoy the many restaurants, or dance the night away under the stars. The colorful center of Willemstad is also close by. Within fifteen minutes you’ll be in **Punda**, where you can stroll across the iconic **Pontjes Bridge** to **Otrobanda** and complete your island adventure.
