Skalka is an ideal accommodation option for those of you who want to enjoy a respectful vacation in the immediate vicinity of rock towns in the Broumovsko Protected Area, where you will find refuge in a traditional wooden cottage from the 19th century. The cottage materializes our vision of accommodation, which is based on the traditional way of life in the given location (heating with wood in a tiled stove, use of local materials) and at the same time provides all the comfort of a contemporary way of life (wi-fi, charging stations for electric cars, etc.). The cottage is located in a picturesque valley on the edge of the forest and thus represents a place where you can experience the romance of morning birdsong, abundant snowfall or the crackling of burning wood in the stove during long autumn evenings.

We are a family that cares for the landscape in which it lives with respect and love. At Skalka, we raise sheep ecologically, retain water, plant avenues and repair small religious monuments. We are happy to share with you the best mushroom trails and stories of this magical place. Private fishing and wildlife hunting or charging of electric cars is possible by arrangement with the owner.

Skalka is located near the natural gems of the Adršpaško-Teplice rocks and the Ostaš table mountain. Within walking distance of a walking trip, you can visit several rock towns, lookouts, small sacred monuments and springs hidden in the living ecosystem of the forest. Broumovsko also offers you the experience of a uniquely composed baroque landscape, the centers of which are the Benedictine monasteries in Police nad Metují and Broumov and a group of rural churches designed by Kryštof and Kilián Ignác Dienzenhofer. The Broumov monastery complex includes a sensitively revitalized monastery garden, the contemporary art gallery Dům, the children's gallery Lapidárium, a cafe and a restaurant. On the road between Skalka and Broumov, on top of the Broumov walls, there is a unique architectural gem - the Dienzenhofer Marian Chapel Hvězda - which is a spiritual landmark of this region.
