Mikulov Castle The most visible and perhaps the most famous landmark of Mikulov was originally a royal castle, later a Liechtenstein castle. In 1575 the castle came under the power of Dietrichstein. After a devastating fire in 1945, it was reconstructed to its present form, which inherently includes the chateau park - a place ideal for quiet, undisturbed walks. Mikulov Square Every stone built into Mikulov's houses tells a story of more than eight hundred years old that leaves you in no doubt that you are in a place where history has walked and history has been formed. The natural center of the city in its present form was created in the last decades of the 16th century, by moving the original square close to the entrance to the castle. Holy hill If we come to the city from the south or east, we will have a beautiful view of a long hill with white rocks, slopes partially covered with forest, with the white pilgrimage church of Sv. Šebestiána, bell tower and other buildings of the Stations of the Cross on the top. The historical beauty of the city is in rare accord with the work of nature.
