The North Sea spa resort of Norden-Norddeich is located directly on the Wadden Sea UNESCO World Heritage Site. From here you can swim in the sea or go on a mudflat hike. It is also possible to visit the East Frisian islands of Langeoog or Spiekeroog on a day trip or take a boat trip to the seal banks. A visit to the seal rescue centre is also highly recommended, as you can see howlers being reared there, depending on the time of year. Accommodation is not suitable for groups of young people.
