Todtmoos is the perfect starting point to explore the Black Forest. In Todtmoos itself there are bakeries, cafés and restaurants as well as shopping facilities (e.g. Edeka supermarket). In Todtmoos you can visit the mine, the pilgrimage church, the local history museum and the waterfalls and start the hiking trails (e.g. Rabeschlucht, Lebküchlerpfad, Panoramaweg etc.) directly from the accommodation. The public bath (Aqua fun) is perfect for cooling off and the mini golf course is great fun.
