Hyggelig! The Danish word for cosiness is right on target. The holiday flat "Süderbootfahrt" is a beautiful non-smoking flat for 2 persons in the holiday house Katingsiel from 1838. The house has been renovated bit by bit according to biological principles. By the ceiling beams and the wooden floor the holiday flat develops a very special charm and cosiness. The apartment opens to the protected inner courtyard with seating area and small pond. Our guests also have access to a large garden with deckchairs for relaxing
From the holiday flat you have a view of the watercourse Süderbootfahrt and the tavern Wilhelm Andresen behind it with its beautiful thatched roof and the historical tiled parlour. Go over there and have a snack. The cakes and the delicious Eiergrog are worth a sin. Or take a walk in the Katinger Watt. Walk through the forest and be impressed by the bird life. There are observation stations at NABU on the way to the dike and the North Sea. Or drive about 15 km further to the lively St. Peter-Ording and enjoy the 12 km long beach.
