The holiday apartment is located on the first floor of our 110 year old North German farmhouse in the village of Labbus on the outskirts of Sulingen in northern Germany. The house is beside our nearly 170 year old windmill. The former miller's house was lovingly renovated in 2006/07 based on environmentally friendly energy saving principles, without losing its farmhouse character. Old features such as wooden beams, windows and doors were restored or reconstructed true to the original. In 2007 we completely renovated and refurbished the holiday apartment with its many unique features. It is important to us that our guests feel at home in a family atmosphere. Families with children feel particularly at home with us and enjoy the freedom of the rural environment. Barbecue and sitting facilities are available on the yard in good weather.

A little more about us: we are the Hansing family and we have lived in this house since February 2006 when we fell in love with this unique property and moved here with our three small children from Dublin, Ireland (Aileen's original hometown). In 2009 we rebuilt the old mill barn on the property. This cosy, rustic room with a large wooden terrace and a magnificent view of the landscape is rented out as an event room for private parties and company events. The windmill with the existing machinery is currently being restored to working order. We would be happy to take you on a guided tour of the mill and tell you more about its history and technology and about the restoration project. Even a former farm should have animals, and so we have a small menagerie with dogs, cats, chickens, geese and mini pigs. We are an open, friendly family and look forward to your visit.

Our house is located in a the countryside on the outskirts of Sulingen. The environment around our house is peaceful and rural and is perfect for cycling and walking. The city of Sulingen with all its shopping facilities is only a few minutes away. Rental cars are available locally in Sulingen and bicycle parking spaces are available.
