Namely, here the wetland Botofte Skovmose has been returned to nature, part of a renaturation project of the Danish government. Landscape types important for the preservation of species, a lake of about 36 ha, wetlands of 16 ha and meadows of about 13 ha have been created in this way. The entire project covers about 70 ha. The new wetlands improve the breeding and living conditions of many birds and other animals in Botofte Skovmose.
