The summerhouse is located on a working horse farm called Enggaarden, a peaceful and idyllic place surrounded by beautiful nature. The house is over 300 years old (renovated to today’s standard), with a charming thatched roof and all the coziness of the Danish countryside. Guests have the entire house to themselves and can enjoy the tranquility, harmony, and the unique experience of being amidst horses. Enggaarden is home to a professional riding education stable. Guests are welcome to watch lessons or observe the daily rhythm of life on the farm. Riding lessons are available during your stay – individually arranged for both children and adults, regardless of experience. Well-educated horses and safety gear are provided. It may be possible to bring your own horse by prior arrangement. Two friendly dogs also live on the farm. Inside the house, you’ll find books to enjoy during quiet moments. Equine art prints are available for purchase. The summerhouse is suitable for families, couples, or solo travelers. Parking is available, and the owners live just next door.

We are the owners of Enggaarden. We live next door to the little house and we are available permanently as we have our work at the farm. Susanne is the lead riding instructor and owner of the riding center together with Michael .

The coast is nearby, with sandy beaches in Dronningmølle, Villingebæk, and Hornbæk — all within 5 km. While the beach can be lively in summer, the farm remains calm and quiet. The area offers lush Danish nature in spring, summer, and fall, and a peaceful, cozy atmosphere in winter. You can enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, and riding. The light and landscape of Hornbæk are especially known for their beauty. Nearby towns offer cafés, bakeries, restaurants, and even a food truck market. Cultural sights like Kronborg Castle, art galleries, and Fredensborg and Frederiksborg castles are all close by. Helsingør is just 15 km away, and Copenhagen only 45 minutes by car. It’s a quiet, remote location — with everything within reach.
