Welcome to "El Barrio". This building, completely renovated in 2020, is located in the old town of Alicante and has almost a century of history within its walls. It is a very special space in which Juana and her family have lived for the last 33 years. Juana decided to buy the building in 1987, when she set up her business on the ground floor and gave each of her children a home on the upper floors. Over the years, her children were emancipated and Juana felt like the space was becoming more and more empty. All the stories, memories and anecdotes lived in this place keep a very special space in the memory of Juana and her family. For that reason, in 2020 they decided to fill it with life again. This is how 'El Barrio' was born. A set of modern and sophisticated apartments, with all the comforts of a hotel and where you will feel at home. In an unbeatable location, a quiet area a few meters from the sea, where you can soak up the Mediterranean culture and life.

Neighbourhood information

We are in 'El Barrio', in the heart of old town Alicante. Just 200 meters from San Nicolás de Bari’s Cathedral and at the foot of the imposing Castle of Santa Bárbara. 2 of the monuments you will be able to admire from our Duplex Penthouse! It’s a neighborhood full of life that has undergone a major transformation in recent years. The old dilapidated buildings and abandoned mansions have given rise to new design hotels and charming tourist apartments. The area has a wide gastronomic offer, with Mediterranean restaurants and bistros with daring fusions and flavors. The apartment is located just 300 meters from ‘Playa del Postiguet’, where you can relax while enjoying the Mediterranean Sea; as well as ‘Marina Deportiva’, a leisure area with restaurants and a casino facing the sea. The area has various options for shopping, markets and supermarkets, where you can buy the necessary products to prepare food yourself in the apartment

Please note that the building is an old structure that has been fully refurbished. We have kept the original stairs and do not have a lift. The stairs are somewhat narrow and steep, which may be a factor to consider for elderly people, those with a lot of luggage or those with limited mobility.
